Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and creative Early Years Program (EYP) Music Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and a genuine enthusiasm for working with young children. As an EYP Music Teacher, you will play a key role in introducing students to the joy of music through interactive and developmentally appropriate activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging music lessons and activities tailored to the developmental needs and interests of early years learners (ages 3-5).
- Create a nurturing and supportive learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and self-expression through music.
- Introduce fundamental concepts of rhythm, melody, pitch, tempo, and dynamics through age-appropriate songs, games, and movement activities.
- Incorporate a variety of musical instruments, props, and multimedia resources to enhance learning and sensory experiences.
- Foster a positive attitude towards music and cultivate a love for singing, playing, and listening to music among young children.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other EYP educators to integrate music into interdisciplinary units and thematic learning experiences.
- Assess student progress and development in music skills and concepts through informal observation and periodic assessments.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about students musical growth, accomplishments, and upcoming activities.
- Participate in school events, performances, and assemblies, showcasing students musical talents and achievements.
- Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in early childhood music education through professional development opportunities.
