We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of tax laws, specifically in Income Tax and Goods and Services Tax (GST), and will be well-versed in handling assessments, scrutiny, and various appeals. This role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, has excellent drafting skills, and is committed to staying ahead of tax regulations and compliance.

- Draft and prepare detailed responses to tax authorities during assessments and scrutiny processes.

- Handle the drafting of appeals and representations before tax authorities and appellate bodies.

- Maintain thorough documentation of all cases, including facts, analysis, and conclusions.

- Provide expert guidance on Income Tax and GST compliance, ensuring all filings are accurate and timely.

- Analyze and interpret tax regulations and updates to advise and educate clients or internal teams.

- Collaborate with auditors, accountants, and legal teams to ensure comprehensive tax strategies.

- Assist in tax planning and advice to optimize tax opportunities and strategies.

- Manage client relationships, ensuring clear communication and resolution of tax issues.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or related field.

- Minimum of 1 years of experience in tax consultancy or a related field, with proven expertise in drafting replies, handling scrutiny, and drafting appeals.

- In-depth knowledge of the Income Tax Act and/or GST, including a thorough understanding of tax assessment and scrutiny processes.
