Job Description
The subject matter expert (SME) in technology transformation of Tax Administration within Public
Sector. Drive the technical expertise, gathering, sharing and industrialization of content globally for
our digital governance segment within Public Sector (PS) leadership, enabling teams in multiple
geographies to benefit from the technical sector-specific knowledge.
He/She will work closely with the Tax administration and Tax modernization segment leaders and
technology architects globally as single point of contact (SPOC) in developing and successfully deploy
emerging Tax administration technology transformation focused offerings globally that helps public
sector client to achieve tax compliance and support customs tax management. This will include
managing strategic projects efficiently and on time in a global and matrix-managed environment.
The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter with strong networking, interpersonal and
multi-tasking skills, good quality control and attention to detail, and a track record of projects.
Experience of the public sector is key. Successful candidate is the technical sparring partner to the
GBL Community within Public Sector.
- Designing digital governance solutions that are citizen centric. Work with teams at existing
and potential customers to deeply understand their business and technical needs. Develop
solutions that make the best use of the Cloud platform and application services. Collaborate
with teams to ensure customer success and value creation.
- Worked as Government Programs Architect and developed Tax & Customs modernization
solutions
- Exposure to BPM and CRM
- Has the understanding of technical solution used for Patrolling and ensuring the safety of
the people as well as property
- Tax Technology Architect with experience in tax agency IT transformation projects in EU,
USA or Asia agencies.
- Core Area Expertise : 1) Individuals Tax management platform (ITMP), 2) Enterprise Tax
Management Platform (ETMP), based on SAP and 3) Customs Declaration Services (CDS).
- Expertise in areas of Multi-Channel Digital Tax Platform
- Case management, Data and risk analytics and Enterprise Data Hub (EDH) , Debt
management , Finance platform etc,.
- Ecosystem understanding of technologies, platform, and partner ecosystem(HXM) certified
- Digital Mindset, Design Thinking, Consulting, User Experience design
- Share best practices through forums such as blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and
public speaking events.
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in the design and implementation of complex IT systems in the
public welfare and social program management segment of public sector
- Experience working with customers and stakeholders and driving conversation towards
innovative public welfare solutions
- Has an understanding of Tax Administration 3.0 and ability to modernize Tax Administration
1.0/2.0 to 3.0
- Has expertise in making Tax digital and Citizen Digital
- Worked on Next Generation Customs creating sustainable and safe national supply-chains
- Modernization of VAT filing and clearing
- Has working knowledge in software tools such as Sovos, Intuit, Avalara, Vertex, TaxCloud,
Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE etc
- Exposure and working experience in enterprise platform such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft and
others to enable ITMP, ETMP and CDS
- Prior experience in Government application digitization/modernization projects and
implementation of citizen centric services.
- Digital Mindset, Design Thinking, Consulting, User Experience design
- Working experience in developing Citizen Services solutions using Newgen, IBM, Pega, RPA
etc
- Working experience in Business Process Management, Case Management and Process
Automation.
Preferred Qualifications
- An advanced degree in computer science, MIS, engineering or related discipline
- AI augmented insights, Process automation
- You are required to play critical role in shaping the future adoption of technology by
government and enable them to transform Tax administration to 3.0
- Worked on integration of legacy applications, modern business applications and cloud
services
- Deep understanding of e-governance processes, data, applications & solutions landscape,
server and network security
