Tanker Research Analyst

Sentosa Ship Brokers are looking for a tanker research analyst to analyse in house and external data in order to provide clients with current and forward views of the global tanker market. Responsibilities will include:

Research Analyst Key Accountabilities:

Writing market research notes on short notices

Producing reports with both a short and long-term focus

Keeping in house information up to date

Assisting with client requests and queries where necessary

Gathering, processing, and analysing data from a large number of sources both internal and external

Research Analyst Essential Competencies:

Academic background preferably in a quantitative subject such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, etc or Shipping

2+ years of research experience in the tanker market

Good command of Microsoft Excel

Excellent analytical, numerical, and organisational skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to write technically and concisely or deliver analysis verbally in an engaging style about the complex subject matter

Attention to detail and focus on accuracy

Proactive approach to data and information management

Desired Experience and Job Requirements:

Excel spreadsheet skills

Econometric modelling

Understanding of the global oil and tanker market
