Job Description

As a System Engineer II you will be responsible for supporting Oracle Cerner Health Care Client's IT Infrastructure involving management of - VMware vSphere, VMware Horizon and Citrix infrastructure. You will be expected to deliver Systems Management Support through 24X7 On-Call duties & work shifts that provide coverage to all the US time zones.

Must have skills:

  • Good understanding of Server virtualization and VDI - Horizon and Citrix.
  • Design, deploy, and manage VMware Horizon infrastructure including Horizon View, Horizon Agent, and Horizon Connection Servers.
  • Develop and implement VDI architecture that meets business needs and performance requirements.
  • Configure and manage virtual desktops, applications, and user environments.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to the VDI environment.
  • Perform regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure the stability and performance of the virtual desktop infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT staff regarding VDI-related issues.
  • Perform upgrade activities on Horizon, vSphere.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for VDI architecture, configurations, and processes.
  • Prepare and present reports on VDI performance, issues, and resolutions to management.
  • Secure the infrastructure with latest OS patch, drivers & firmware.
  • Develop SOP documents and implement best practices.
  • Support 24x7 On-call and troubleshoot critical events.
  • Perform capacity planning.

Good to have skills:

  • Hands on experience on managing Dell VxRail, Cisco UCS and HP blade servers.
  • Train and mentor junior Engineers on Server Virtualization solutions.
