The Role: System Test Engineer
About the role:
System Test Engineer is responsible for End-to-End test execution for STB solution including Headend, Conditional Access (CA), Middleware and OTT integrations. The role works closely with Test Manager, Test lead, Integration Engineer, Project Manager and Solution Architect and ensure the quality of Irdeto products as per the customer requirements.
Involve in Test execution of different functional & non-functional system level testing (Regression testing, sanity Testing, Performance Testing, stress & robustness testing, ATP Testing, UI Testing etc) using manual and automation methods. Ensure recording and reporting of different test runs and bugs with the help of test tools like Jira, Test Rail etc.
This is a customer facing role and may need to travel to customer site for ATP test or any other test execution related activities.
Required Skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good Testing and Debugging skills.
- Team player but able to work independently and remotely.
- Proactive and self-motivated.
- Good logical and analytical skills with the ability to absorb multiple requirements and accordingly ensure product quality.
- Good presentations skill to small to medium sized groups.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Competent user of the Microsoft suite of Office applications including Microsoft Visio and Project.
- Knowledge of the broadcast industry with respect to workflow, operation, and technologies.
What you'll bring to the team:
- Technical and/or Engineering background.
- 2-4 years experience in testing preferably on STB, Headend, Conditional Access (CA), Middleware and OTT solutions.
- Well versed with Test processes and Test tools like Jira, Test Rail or other similar tools.
- Involved in functional & non-functional testing types (Regression testing, sanity Testing, Performance Testing, Automation testing, UI Testing)
- Good understanding of Agile methodology
- Basic understanding of STB solutions and DTH system.
- Hands on experience on python Scripting and Storm test will be advantage
