Job Description Summary
The Generator System Integrator will be responsible for the technical execution in bringing together component / product subsystems into a whole and ensuring that those subsystems function together.
He / She shall be responsible for coordination with Product Management, Technology, CoEs and Project Office functions.
He / she shall ensure the technical choice is made to ensure the total cost and performance of the product is in line with the target defined for the project as sold.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible to define the customer requirements and regulation of system
- Responsible to provide work packages to the CoE for the project including the client requirements, the interfaces, the planning, the performance, reliability and cost as per his/her as sold scope.
- Is the single point of contact for external customer for his / her scope
- Coordinate and control the interfaces among internal, customer, partners as defined in the interface matrix (DOW)
- Accountable for the risks and opportunities and margin movement for his/ her scope.
- Manage and harmonize the technical documentation (including numbering, O&M documents)
- Be a single technical face to the customer - Technical co-ordination and follow-up with the customer or /and internal or external partner,
- Define the alternative and the possible optimization at design stage that can impact the design, the supplies or site activities as per the strategy defined by Product Management function.
- Deliver specifications, interface data to partners, (system, turbines, generators and civil engineers,)
- Is responsible of the coordination of the Drawings and Documents validation on project specific aspects.
- Receive and coordinate all technical input and feedback to the other parties in the process (design, site, and customer) from start of Basic Design until Final acceptance of Product and including the As Built information.
- Acts as the internal / external interface.
- Accept or reject the change in case of deviations from customers requirement and manages changes and issue change orders.
- Accept or reject the change in case of deviations from GE standards requirement and manages changes and issue change orders in full coordination with HPM.
- Participate to the project review meeting
- Participate to the project gate meetings
- Coordinate support for site activities with CoEs.
- Manage Feedback of Experience of projects
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering or equivalent experience/knowledge
- Relevant professional work experience
- Significant experience in managing in a global matrix Environment
- Strong knowledge in Generator Hydro products
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Proven leadership and negotiation skills
- Proven analytical skills and strategic mindset

- Ability to travel regularly
