We are looking for System Engineers in Functional Safety with Steering, EPB and VDSW to experience to join our team in Bangalore, with Hybrid working model. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in functional safety, Failure Mode, and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Functional Safety Analysis (FuSa) to ensure our systems meet stringent automotive safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain the functional safety concept and safety plan in accordance with ISO 26262.

• Lead and conduct functional safety analyses, including Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA), and Functional Safety Requirements (FSR) development.
• Perform technical safety concept design and safety validation activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements for brakes, steering, EPB, and VDSW.
• Develop detailed design specifications and ensure the integration of safety requirements into system design.
• Support the design and development of hardware and software architectures to meet functional safety goals.
• Conduct FMEA for various systems and components to identify potential failure modes and their effects on vehicle operation and safety.
• Develop mitigation strategies and design improvements to address identified risks.
• Plan and execute safety-related testing, including fault injection and system-level safety validation.
• Analyze test results and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive safety case documentation and reports to support safety compliance and certification efforts.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive functional safety engineering, particularly in brakes, steering, EPB, and VDSW systems.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 26262 and its application in automotive safety.
• Proven experience in conducting FMEA and FuSa activities.
• Review FMEA documents from external partners to ensure completeness & create FMEA work products if gaps are identified.
• Strong understanding of automotive systems and components, including electronics and embedded software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Experience with safety analysis tools such as Medini Analyze, FMEA software, or similar.
• Knowledge of automotive standards and regulations.
