Responsible for the evaluation, implementation, and ongoing support of various platforms
(hardware, operating systems, software, and systems tools). Provide consultation and direct
technical support in problem management, integration, and systems programming. Implement
releases, upgrades, and/or changes into the environment. Ensure platform performance and
availability meet design criteria and objectives through monitoring, timely service restoration,
and tuning. Duties may include system implementation, system maintenance/administration,
and troubleshooting and diagnostics.
Perform root cause analysis to quickly recover from service interruptions, and to prevent
recurring problems
Provide technical support, as needed, to the enterprise
Consult with other business units (e.g. application groups, DBAs, middleware, etc.) to
configure platforms for product installation and ongoing support
Design and document enterprise standards and procedures
Ensure platforms/systems conform to established enterprise/industry standards (systems
management, firewalls, security, operating systems, etc.) and reference models
Implement changes to platforms with minimal impact to the business by following enterprise
standards and procedures
Monitor, manage, and tune platforms to ensure expected availability and performance levels
are achieved
Provide on-site, and on-call 7x24x365 support, as needed. Will mostly work within office
hours.
Coordinate activities with internal/external technology owners/service providers
Plan and implement life cycle management of software and hardware
Keep abreast of industry and technology trends
Understand technical/business requirements gathered from the business units
Application Migration to Different Windows OS Platforms (2012, 2016 2019, 2022)
Analyze, design, and document platforms/systems to meet enterprise requirements
Install, customize, maintain, test, and troubleshoot operating systems and other systems
software
Configure, install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot hardware systems
Required
Technical Skills-
o Strong knowledge of Windows 2016, 2012, and 2008 server
o Strong knowledge of IIS including virtual directory and app pool configuration and
troubleshooting
o Application server loads and configuration
o Microsoft Technology Stack browser, .NET, IIS 7/8, MSSQL Databases
o Apache Tomcat
o Share Level and NTFS Level Permissions
o Knowledge of DFS and SAN technologies (NetApp)
o Global Active Directory Domain Knowledge
o BigIP F5 LTM Load Balancing concepts
o Multi-Data Center, Multi-Zone Environment familiarity and understanding
o Knowledge of MSSQL database structure and queries
o Knowledge of MSSQL Cluster Environments
o Knowledge and Ability to troubleshoot Network/Firewall issues
o Knowledge of how Domain Name System (DNS) works
o Knowledge of Powershell/Batch scripting, Python
o BigPanda, Datadog, AppDynamics APM (Application Performance Monitoring) knowledge

BS/BA, preferably in Information Technology or Business or equivalent experience,
education, or training

Associate's degree or industry certification in an applicable IT field, in addition to four years
applicable experience in the design/administration/ support of one or more platforms; or
Bachelor's degree in an IT field, in addition to two years applicable experience in the
design/administration/ support of one or more platforms; or six years equivalent in depth
experience in the above related areas
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of multiple systems (operating/integration/
architecture) and programming languages/
methodologies
Thorough understanding of server and desk top based technology, utilizing network systems
related to enterprise view
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without
sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
