Purpose of the Job

Responsible fordesigning the various Telecom sub-systemsfor Urban/Mainline projects based on the project requirements. The position needsto understand customer requirements and project context. Participate in the design workshops with customer and work towards getting approval as per the project key milestones. Day to day responsibilities include preparation of Design documents, Interacting with vendors for various for various Telecom sub-system. Working closely with all stakeholders like PM, other SSLs, Interface Manager , Civil contractors. Etc.

• Build know how of Alstom products and processes
• Adhering to technical processes
• Accurate and On Time Reporting
• QCD is as per WP commitment

Job Specifications:

• Designing solution for Telecom projects
• Expertize level in Radio communication (TETRA/GSM-R/LTE)
• Participating in technical workshop with customer
• Supervising and supporting T&C team
• Interface with OEMs
• Close design documents with customers

What do I need to qualify for this job

Required Experience/Skills

• Minimum 14to 16years relevant experience in rail Telecom domain or IT/Telecom industryas independent contributor. (5 years in Metro projects)
• Experience in designing the various Telecom sub-systems to meet customer's design , operational and functional requirements.
• Should have experience and knowledge of developing various interfaces of Telecom with other systems like SIG , Rolling stock etc.
• Systems Thinking mindset / acumen.

Competency expected

• Flexible and resilience to work on multiple projects at a time depending on requirements.
• Team orientation
• Aptitude to understand customer requirements and translating it to Architecture & Design documents to meet the project deadlines with minimum iterations.
• Effective communication
