Job Profile
We are seeking a competent System Application Engineer for motor and motor controller in EV division. The system application engineer will be part of the core team coordinating with customers and development team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating with customer to understand requirements for motors and motor controllers
- Coordinate with R&D teams to understand design requirements and suggest hardware/software upgrades
- Customer front facing for solving the technical issues in motor and motor controller components
- Testing and validation of motor and motor control system
- Analyze the customer requirements and provide technical support
- Verifies and calibrates motor control characteristics, diagnoses, and corrects deficiencies in designs and prototypes.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Candidate should have a bachelor's or Master Degree in Electronics and Communication, Electricals or related fields from reputed college/university
- Broad Technical knowledge of main elements for electric/ hybrid vehicle powertrains.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in motor control system design or integration.
- Strong understanding of motor control and power electronics theory.
- Experience with design and analysis of modern motor control systems (preferred)
- General competency in all core fields (electronics, electromagnetics, computer hardware and software) is preferred.
- Experience implementing motor control designs in FPGA and/or microcontroller.
- Experience designing and fabricating motor control circuit assemblies/cards.
- Experience in calibration of off-the-shelf motor controllers.
- Excellent problem definition and problem-solving techniques.
- Good organization and documentation abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others.
- Strong technical aptitude and passion towards automotive engineering and electric vehicles (EV)
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, able to convey technical content to team members with differing technical ability is a must.
- Understanding of vehicle control architecture.
- Understanding of vehicle network protocols (CAN, LIN)
- Demonstrated real time embedded software or firmware design experience.
