Role Description
This is a full-time in-office role for a Zenoss Administrator located in Chennai. As a Zenoss Administrator, you will administer, configure, and optimize monitoring infrastructure, ensuring reliability and effectiveness. You will configure Zenoss for monitoring IT components, implement proactive alerting mechanisms, and develop customized dashboards for insightful presentation of monitoring data. Additionally, you will collaborate to integrate Zenoss with other IT management systems, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Zenoss administration or similar monitoring tools.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or a related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Utilize Zenoss expertise to administer, configure, and optimize monitoring infrastructure, ensuring reliability and effectiveness.
- Configure Zenoss for monitoring IT components including servers, networks, applications, and services, tailoring configurations to specific requirements.
- Implement proactive alerting and notification mechanisms to promptly identify and respond to potential issues.
- Develop customized dashboards within Zenoss for clear and insightful presentation of monitoring data.
- Collaborate to integrate Zenoss with other IT management systems and automation tools, streamlining workflows and enhancing efficiency.
- Fine-tune Zenoss performance parameters and configurations to ensure optimal resource utilization and responsiveness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Zenoss functionality, performance, or integration, minimizing downtime and ensuring uninterrupted operations.
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing by documenting Zenoss configurations, best practices, and troubleshooting procedures.
Skills Required
- Proficiency in Zenoss or similar monitoring tools.
- Experience in server and network monitoring.
- Knowledge of event management and incident management.
- Familiarity with Windows Server, Linux Server, and monitoring tools such as SCOM, PRTG, and SolarWinds.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
