Overview:
A pivotal member of the executive leadership team, this position is responsible for building a sales team, driving significant revenue growth and maximizing the performance of the sales organization. This individual has the accountability for aligning all sales actions. This position will lead the Sales team by developing and executing a strategy to generate activity, create opportunities, and exceed sales targets. The SVP & Chief Sales Officer will coach and guide the Sales, Solution Engineering, and Channel leaders on best practices and to ensure accountability for activity and results and collaborate closely with Sales Operations and Marketing leaders to help achieve sales, pipeline, and activity targets.
The ideal candidate is a highly strategic business leader with a team-based, cross-functional perspective coupled with a relentless passion for results and achievement. The individual must be able to leverage their insights into targeted verticals to grow the funnel and contribute to successful sales. This person must also have an excellent grasp of successful selling methodologies and techniques within the space that aid CogWise in its transition up the market.
Passion for building teams from the ground up and working in a Start-Up Environment is the key.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, inspire, and motivate the Sales management team responsible for all Sales at Cogwise. Ensure that the team has the strategy, resources, direction, and developmental plans to overachieve in their respective areas.
- Establish short term and long-term strategy to achieve significant growth in the Enterprise IT space, including revenue forecasting, resources, and organizational needs.
- Set, own, and manage annual budget for sales bookings and organizational operating expenses.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to overachieve net new Monthly Recurring Revenue targets. Stimulate profitable revenue growth through acquisition of new business and upselling existing customer base. Minimize churn through Account Management, Renewals, and retention programs.
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators, results, expectations, and strategy of the Sales organization to executive team and Board of Directors.
- Communicate daily with the leadership team to identify and implement actions to address production shortfalls. Work closely with the leaders in all aspects of performance management within the sales team to address skill gaps, resolve weaknesses, and manage performance improvement plans.
- Ensure effective communications within the sales team, and with all key stakeholders within the wider Cogwise organization.
- Develop business plans and strategies to position products and packaged solutions to targeted client base.
- Develop and implement robust sales management and prospecting processes, including strong emphasis on Digital Selling techniques.
- Oversee all Channel & Partner Development including developing executive relationships with key industry partners.
- Encourage and maintain competitive analysis and intelligence.
- Manage and encourage diversity in skills and capabilities.
- Provide quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company values.

Qualifications:
- At least 8 years of relevant industry, technology, and solutions experience.
- At least 5 years of direct, B2B sales leadership experience, preferably in the data center, managed services, cloud solutions or IT services fields.
- Demonstrable increasing sales experience in leading dynamic sales teams.
- C-Level selling and executive level relationship development.
- Recognized as an industry expert in multiple industry areas, particularly in the development and implementation of successful sales strategies, industry and technology trends, and performance excellence.
- Excellent knowledge of Cloud, Data Center, and other technology trends.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with quantifiable attention to detail.
- Demonstrated C-Level performance in a fast-paced B2B environment.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to influence, articulate, and motivate large teams.
- Bachelor's degree in business or technical field and/or MBA.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience
- Prior experience particularly in AI, Data Science and other relevant industries that are critical to Cogwise.
