About The Role

As an Engineer in Whole Sale Digital, this role involves performing a SRE support for Transactive applications in an efficient, timely, customer-oriented and comprehensive manner to a global business. You would be responsible for managing the resolution of application and system issues that arise across customer and business. This requires candidates with exceptional technical knowledge, and demands an ability to manage multiple high-level tasks under pressure in a high performing global support team.

The role based out in Bangalore and the primary responsibility of the Engineer is to support micro services and on-prem platform application applications within Wholesale Digital operations. The role entails performing a technical support role and providing support to a global business that operates 24*6 hrs in an efficient, timely, customer-oriented, and comprehensive manner. Encourages a support culture that goes beyond what the customer expects, as well as ensuring that every business client response is timely and comprehensive. Manage service level agreements and levels of customer satisfaction. Identify and promote opportunities to reduce the need for direct support through product enhancements, training, automation, and self-service.

Shift Schedule: On-Call & Weekend support (Rotational)

What will your day look like

As a Support/ Operations Engineer, you are accountable for:

  • Managing Application support activities
  • Working on incidents , changes and Problems
  • Manage weekend change activities
  • Carrying on call support

What will you bring


To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Strong Unix and Unix scripting skills
  • RDMS (Oracle and SQL server)
  • Monitoring(ITRS/Splunk/Dynatrace/Udeploy)
  • Job Scheduler(Control-M)
  • Limited Experience in application support in Java based technologies in Solaris/Linux platforms in a high pressure environment.
  • Basic understanding of GCP Cloud and OpenShift platforms
  • Focus on continuous proactive service improvement and continuous learning.
  • Ensure customer service excellence and guaranteed response with SLA times by actively monitoring support emails/tickets and actively working on them till the issue is fully remediated.
  • Ensuring all incident tickets are resolved in a timely and comprehensive manner.
  • Track and identify frequently occurring, high impact support issues as candidates for permanent resolution.
  • Track bug and feature requests status to stay on top of the hot issues.
  • Work closely with problem management, track open issues send regular stakeholder updates and communication on open key issues
