Position Overview: This job is responsible for end-to-end supply management, from planning to delivery. Upon receiving demand forecasts from downstream, the Global Supply Planner evaluates lead times, raw material availability, placement options, and capacity constraints to develop a comprehensive supply plan. This plan is then communicated to the source base, from which supply confirmations are received. The core responsibility of this role is to ensure the on-time delivery of products to the business, effectively owning the entire global supply planning process. The position requires meticulous coordination, strategic planning skills, and a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics to optimize performance and meet business objectives.
About The Job
- Constrain Supply Planning: Analyse and process unconstrained supply requests by applying constraints such as lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQ), capacity, and raw material availability. Deliver a viable, confirmed, constrained supply plan.
- Supply Confirmation KPIs: Ensure supply confirmations meet or exceed key performance indicators, maintaining high standards of efficiency and effectiveness.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Business, Product Development, and Sourcing teams to ensure seamless execution of supply plans, fostering strong interdepartmental synergy.
- Addressing Supply Constraints: Proactively evaluate and resolve supply and resource constraints, negotiating capacities and lead times with Sourcing teams and Vendors. Explore and identify cross-sourcing opportunities to optimize supply chain flexibility.
About You
- Education: Candidates should possess a master's or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. However, we highly value practical experience and encourage candidates with significant relevant experience in the supply chain or planning domains to apply.
- Proven Experience:
- 10 to 12 years of supply chain management experience with supply chain management background - Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Material Planning, Procurement . Apparel industry experience will be viewed favourably.
- Problem-solving: Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a focus on process improvement, capable of identifying inefficiencies and implementing effective solutions.
- Analytical Planning: Solution-oriented with strong analytical planning skills, adept at forecasting, demand planning, and resource allocation to meet business objectives.
- Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to forge effective relationships across cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless coordination and execution.
- Deadline Management: Committed to delivering high-quality work within stringent deadlines, showcasing superior time management and organizational skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with supply planning systems. Candidates with hands-on experience in these areas will have a distinct advantage.
