Job Description:
VST Tillers Tractors Limited is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic SCM Lead to join our team in Hosur. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the procurement and sourcing of key components for our tractor production, including sheet metal and BOF. In the long run, the SCM Lead will assume leadership of the entire SCM team, encompassing procurement, sourcing, and new product development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the procurement and sourcing of sheet metal and BOF components, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure that new products are sourced and procured effectively.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms and pricing.
- Develop and implement inventory management processes to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize costs.
- Implement and monitor performance metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead and mentor the SCM team, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in supply chain management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 15-20 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, sourcing, and inventory management processes.
- Experience in implementing and managing TOC and ZBC methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in business administration or supply chain management.
- Experience in the agricultural equipment industry.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems.
