Taking the responsibility for the outgoing shipments.
You will be completing the orders that are being shipped and ensuring that they are delivered in a timely manner.
The OM Manager has responsibility for managing customer order activity through the order fulfillment cycle. Responds to customer inquiries by researching status for shipments, past dues and expedites.
Updating the accounts with all the required information & status in a timely manner.
Updating the Customer with the Tracking # of the shipment via Email & on Call.
Personnel must confirm the right product; specification & quantity is being packed. Other tasks include creating a shipping label and packing slip for each item and scheduling shipment with the right carrier.
Your duties include tracking and inspecting all incoming and outgoing products.
Designing schedules, recording information, preparing and attaching labels on packaging, and collaborating with management, vendors, and transportation departments.
Using software to track, check, prioritize and route orders
Excellent Communication skills is must.
Proven experience as shipping manager
Excellent knowledge of logistics procedures
Experience in using EDI and preparing shipping documents
Computer savvy with excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
