Job Overview
We are hiring a Vendor Development Engineer to join our team at Infinitalent Consulting (P) Ltd. As a Vendor Development Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. This is a full-time position based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor's Engineering in mechanical or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in vendor development or procurement.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience with SAP ERP and procurement systems.
- Knowledge of quotations, bargaining, and price negotiation.
- Ability to analyze and interpret delivery challans.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of vendor management best practices.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with vendors.
- Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and maintain a vendor database.
- Evaluate vendor performance and resolve any issues or disputes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Manage vendor contracts and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor market trends and make recommendations to improve vendor selection and management processes.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to assess their vendor requirements and provide support in vendor selection.
- Prepare and analyze reports on vendor performance, cost savings, and contract compliance.
