The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in electric vehicle (EV) systems, proficiency in simulation tools, and a solid foundation in electrical and mechanical engineering principles. This role involves hands-on experience in the design and development of EV components, contributing to course content creation, and handling EV lab prototypes and components.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of EV components such as battery systems, electric motors, and inverters.
Utilize simulation software like MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and simulating various EV components and systems.
Apply solid engineering principles in electrical machines, power electronics, and control systems to the design and development of EVs.
Possess knowledge of battery chemistry, BMS design, and operation, including cell balancing, state-of-charge (SOC), and state-of-health (SOH) estimation.
Exhibit deep knowledge of traction inverters, electrical machine systems, switching strategies, and Field-Oriented Control (FOC) systems for E-drive system implementation.
Hands-on experience in the design, development, and implementation of electric vehicles or their components.
Experience with system engineering activities such as requirement elicitation, functional analysis, high-level and low-level design of EV components or systems, and verification and validation in simulated or test bench environments.
4 to 6 years of practical experience in the electric vehicle industry, with a focus on E/E architecture and system design.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) preferred.
Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of digital and analog electronics.
Proficiency in simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink.
In-depth expertise in battery management systems and E-drive systems.
Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering fundamentals.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
