Primary Skill
Strong knowledge of COBOL, DB2, JCL & CICS
COBOL
Develop structured and maintainable code
Develop Batch programs and Stored Procedures as per required coding standards
Ability to do code/application analysis to find out the Root Cause
DB2
Understands Explains
Can recognize poor performance Query and fine tuning SQL
Not a must but understands Multi-Row processing / Get Diagnostics
Not a must but understands Virtual Tables
JCL
CICS (Experience on CICS is an added advantage)
Experience on Mainframe Tools
ChangeMan
FileAid
Scheduler - Preferably CA
BMC or AQT (Not Must)
Data Client for Stored Procedure (Not Must)
Ability to turn Technical Specifications into DB2-COBOL coding with minimal guidance
Experience on Agile Development model preferably using JIRA
Working with other developers to create high-performance & scalable applications
Conduct code reviews and unit test software as needed ensuring quality of deliverables
