We are seeking a dynamic Study Abroad Counsellor to assist students in pursuing international educational opportunities. As a counselor, you will guide students through the study abroad process, from program selection to cultural adaptation, ensuring a seamless and enriching experience.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive counseling to students interested in studying abroad.
Assist students in selecting suitable study programs based on academic, personal, and career goals.
Guide students through application procedures, including documentation and visa requirements.
Conduct informational sessions and workshops on study abroad opportunities, academic planning, and cultural adjustment.
Coordinate with international universities and educational institutions to facilitate student exchanges and partnerships.
Advise on financial planning, scholarships, and funding options for study abroad programs.
Offer ongoing support to students during their study abroad experience, addressing academic, personal, and cultural challenges.
Maintain accurate records of student interactions, applications, and program outcomes.
Requirements
Proven experience in advising or counseling students in an educational setting, preferably in study abroad programs.
Knowledge of international education systems, academic programs, and cultural nuances.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a multicultural sensitivity.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with students, faculty, and international partners.
Organizational skills to manage multiple student cases and administrative tasks efficiently.
Familiarity with travel logistics, visa processes, and global health and safety guidelines.
Proficiency in relevant software and platforms for student advising and documentation.
