Job Overview
We are seeking a Junior Structural Steel Fabricator Labour to join our team. The ideal candidate should have 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in metal fabrication with mandatory skills in welding and metal fabrication
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in welding (Mandatory skill) with proficiency in various welding techniques and equipment.
- Proficiency in metal fabrication (Mandatory skill), including cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Knowledge of safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with safety regulations.
- Strong measurement skills to accurately measure dimensions and angles for precise fabrication work.
- Experience in using power tools such as grinders, drills, and saws for effective fabrication tasks.
- Quality control skills to inspect finished products and ensure they meet the required standards and specifications.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and follow instructions from supervisors
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform various welding tasks including MIG, TIG, and arc welding according to project requirements.
- Fabricate and assemble structural steel components based on blueprints and technical drawings.
- Ensure all fabricated products meet quality standards by conducting regular inspections and tests
- Follow all safety protocols and use protective equipment to maintain a safe working environment.
- Operate and maintain power tools and welding equipment efficiently and safely.
- Accurately measure and cut metal pieces to specified dimensions, ensuring precision and accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to housekeeping standards and practices.
