Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Structural Drafter for a leading Civil Construction Company in Kochi. As a Structural Drafter, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for various construction projects. This is a mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of relevant experience. The job is based in Cochin, Kerala, India, and the employment type is full-time.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience as a Structural Drafter
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software
- Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and concepts
- Ability to interpret and understand construction and architectural drawings
- Experience with piping and instrumentation drawings (P&ID) and mechanical drawings is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Roles and Responsibilities
- Produce accurate and detailed structural drawings based on specifications and requirements
- Create construction drawings, architectural drawings, and engineering drawings
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate representation of the design
- Review and revise drawings as necessary to incorporate changes and updates
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to drawings and plans
- Coordinate with other drafters and team members to meet project deadlines
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in structural drafting technologies
