As we gear up for our official launch, we are seeking a talented Sourcing Head to join our team and lead our procurement and sourcing initiatives.
Job Summary:
The Sourcing Head will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of high-quality materials and products. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the fashion and apparel industry, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers. The position involves extensive dealings with manufacturers, Pan-India travel, and adherence to YUVAKAA's zero-tolerance policy for quality and timing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies aligned with YUVAKAA's business goals and growth plans.
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Negotiation: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure all sourced materials and products meet YUVAKAA's quality standards. Implement a zero-tolerance policy for any deviations.
- Cost Management: Monitor and manage sourcing budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency in procurement processes.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to inform sourcing decisions and strategies.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with design, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless integration of sourcing activities with overall operations.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and stability in supply.
- Pan-India Travel: Regularly travel across India to visit suppliers and manufacturing units, ensuring compliance with YUVAKAA's standards and fostering strong supplier relationships.
- Supply Chain Optimisation: Continuously improve sourcing processes and supply chain efficiency, ensuring the best quality materials are sourced within YUVAKAA's time and quality requirements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification in procurement or supply chain management is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in sourcing and procurement within the fashion and apparel industry, with extensive dealings in manufacturing. Must have a vendor base for contract manufacturing and have worked in a reputed apparel brand for at least 10 years.
