Our Founders:

Founded by creative homemaker Reetu Kedia, daughter Simran Kedia, and son Subham Kedia. Alokya is a breakthrough in the field of traditional Indian folk art representation.

Simran holds an undergraduate degree from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore and an MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). Subham is an incoming MBA candidate of the Class of 2025 at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has experience working in management consulting and strategic initiatives. He holds an undergraduate degree from IIT Kharagpur and a graduate degree from Columbia University in the City of New York.

Job Description:

Alokya is looking for a Strategic Partnerships Intern to join our team and help us expand our network of clients and wholesale and retail resellers. The intern will be responsible for identifying high-profile clients in the hospitality sector, and potential resellers (e.g. retailers, wholesalers, corporate gifting companies, hotels, spas, resorts, restaurants, etc.), establishing and fostering dependable, reliable short-term and long-term relationships, negotiations and arriving at contractual agreements (including but not limited to defining terms and conditions such as rebates, discounts, and promotions) to resell Alokya's products. The intern will work cross-functionally with the other team members and report to Alokya's leadership team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential areas for strategic partnerships including but not limited to resellers, wholesalers/distributors, retailers, online marketplaces, e-commerce platforms, etc. Potential clients also include resorts, restaurants, yoga studios and spas, that may use our products as end-customers.
  • Design, develop, and execute a strategic plan to approach potential resellers and establish short-term and long-term relationships with them.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team to brainstorm, design, and create presentations and marketing materials to showcase our strategic partnerships.
  • Negotiate and arrive at contractual agreements with potential resellers, including terms and conditions for sales, pricing model (including rebates, discounts, and promotions), and minimum order quantities.
  • Manage relationships with resellers, including monitoring sales and providing ongoing support and active communication.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the leadership team on progress and results.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with data analysis and reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Experience and/or interest in the home decor and fragrance industry is a plus.
