Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of experience in network asset negotiations and planning, including dark fiber, bandwidth services, layer 3 interconnect and colocation.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in acquisition of services from, or business development with, providers around colocation, submarine cable landings, dark fiber, and network capacity.
Ability to derive strategic clarity and consensus in ambiguous regulatory, business and technical environments.
Ability to negotiate complex agreements with vendors, partners and suppliers.
Ability to connect with C-level industry executives to develop strategic relationships/initiatives.
Excellent investigative, quantitative and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
Develop long-term relationships with key commercial partners, including telecommunications companies, network carriers and colocation operators for the purposes of managing our strategies of asset acquisition and Cloud partnerships.
Negotiate and implement commercial frameworks that allow for predictable, efficient delivery of assets to meet Google's portfolio of products and services.
Identify, evaluate and acquire metro and long haul capacity and dark fiber assets. Work collaboratively with our subsea team for different time of permits, NOC agreements, OEM discussions. Design and build a new infrastructure solution through joint projects or separately.
Leverage experience in colocation and real estate knowledge to acquire colocation space for network, peering and edge requirements.
Coordinate with global planning terms to develop strategic roadmaps that guide long-term asset acquisition strategies.
