Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Store expensive and delicate materials in a separate, locked cupboard.
Ensure all material receipts, issues, and other prescribed formats are filled out by an authorized person at the same time.
Write store entry numbers on all received materials immediately after quality approval.
Ensure the IBR number is written on paper for all IBR receipt materials and signed by an authorized signatory after quality inspection approval.
Maintain and systematically record test certificates of IBR received materials.
Check the online Bill of Quantity (BOQ) every two hours and contact the design department for clarifications.
Generate Material Indents (M.I) the same day as per BOQ.
Security and Compliance:
Ensure all expensive and delicate materials are securely stored and locked.
Prepare and approve gate passes for material removal, signed by authorized personnel.
Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
Manage and monitor store security to prevent theft and loss of inventory.
Tools and Equipment Management:
Issue tools to workers on a returnable/non-returnable basis as per instructions from the production manager/supervisor.
Notify the maintenance department of tool and machinery breakdowns and maintain written records.
Stock and Inventory Control:
Periodically review stock and inventory as per instructions from the managing director.
Keep rejected materials at designated places and arrange for their replacement/disposal as advised by purchasing officials.
Record Keeping and Reporting:
Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies to management.
Prepare and submit reports on store sales, inventory, and other operational metrics to upper management.
Store Operations:
Receive and inspect shipments of goods, ensuring they match purchase orders.
Store and organize inventory efficiently and safely.
Assist the production in-charge with product information and availability.
Keep the store clean and well-maintained.
Follow the 5-S concept to maintain an organized workspace.
Conduct board meetings with relevant departments as instructed by management.
Prepare for the next morning's meeting as the last activity of the previous day.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Store Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in inventory management software.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations related to inventory management.
