Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Retail Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring efficient logistics, and maintaining a safe working environment. The Retail Warehouse Manager will play a crucial role in optimizing processes to meet customer demands and organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Supervise the receiving, storing, and distribution of merchandise.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using appropriate technology.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Logistics and Shipping:
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Optimize shipping procedures to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Implement and enforce best practices in packaging and handling procedures.
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff.
- Set performance objectives and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive team environment and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Implement safety training programs and conduct regular safety inspections.
- Investigate and report any accidents or incidents within the warehouse.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance warehouse efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize overall supply chain operations.
- Inventory Analysis and Forecasting:
- Analyze inventory levels and trends to anticipate future needs.
- Generate reports and insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Work closely with purchasing and sales teams to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar role in a retail environment.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse procedures and best practices.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Leadership abilities with a strategic mindset.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management (preferred).
