Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Store Manager to lead our chemical storage facility. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the efficient, safe, and compliant operation of the warehouse, ensuring the smooth flow of materials for production. You will oversee all inventory control procedures, manage a team of store helpers, and prioritize safety regulations for the storage and handling of chemicals.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records for all chemicals using Tally or similar software.- Implement procedures to minimize stockouts and overstocking, optimizing inventory levels for production needs.
Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and ensure data accuracy.
Ensure the safe storage and handling of all chemicals according to MSDS ( and relevant government regulations.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive safety program for the store, including training for store personnel on safe chemical handling practices and emergency procedures.
Conduct regular safety audits to identify and address any potential hazards within the warehouse.- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to prevent accidents and ensure efficient material flow.
Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly and follow up on corrective actions.
Delegate tasks and ensure efficient workflow within the store, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure clear communication and maintain a positive working relationship with all departments relying on the store (e.g., production, purchasing).
Prepare reports on inventory levels, stock movement, waste generation, and other relevant data for management review.
- Coordinate with production planning and other departments to ensure smooth material flow and timely availability of chemicals for production.
Maintain documentation related to chemical storage, handling, waste disposal, and safety training records.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Chemistry, or a related field (preferred).- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse or store management role, preferably within the chemical manufacturing industry.
Proven experience in inventory control, including cycle counting and implementing procedures for minimizing stockouts and overstocking.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices for handling hazardous materials.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and train a team.- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Tally.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
