Job Description

  1. Stock Knowledge:

Demonstrate a deep understanding of maintaining stocks, including tracking product quantities, identifying slow-moving items, and implementing strategies to optimise stock levels.

Conduct regular stock assessments to ensure accurate record-keeping and minimise discrepancies.

  1. FIFO/LIFO Policy:

Apply and enforce the FIFO (First In, First Out) and LIFO (Last In, First Out) policies to manage inventory efficiently.

Train and educate staff on the importance of adhering to these policies to reduce waste and enhance inventory turnover.

  1. Product Categorization:

Utilise knowledge of categorising products based on factors such as shelf life, popularity, and seasonality.

Implement effective categorization systems to streamline inventory organisation and facilitate easier stock retrieval.

  1. Product Maintenance:

Implement procedures for the proper storage and handling of products, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Collaborate with the kitchen and service teams to establish guidelines for maintaining the quality and freshness of perishable goods.

  1. Supplier Collaboration:

Work closely with suppliers to stay informed about product availability, lead times, and potential disruptions.

Negotiate favourable terms with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective replenishment of inventory.

  1. Operational Excellence:

Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable customer experience.

Implement and enforce standard operating procedures for all aspects of store operations.

  1. Team Management:

Recruit, train, and manage a team of front-of-house and back-of-house staff.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and employee development.

  1. Customer Service:

Ensure that the store consistently delivers high-quality customer service.

Address customer feedback and concerns promptly and effectively.

  1. Quality Control:

Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality and presentation.

Conduct regular checks to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

  1. Financial Management:

Monitor and manage store budgets, controlling costs while maximising profitability.

Prepare and analyse financial reports, providing insights for improvement.

  1. Vendor Management:

Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favourable terms.

Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and partners.
