Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Steel Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in steel estimation, with a solid understanding of structural steelwork. Knowledge of Australian standards is an advantage, though not mandatory. This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for steel projects
• Review project plans, specifications, and tender documents
• Track revisions and update estimates to reflect project changes
• Collaborate with project managers and detailers to ensure alignment with project requirements
• Conduct quantity take-offs and price negotiations with suppliers when needed
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, material costs, and standards

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Steel Estimator or similar role
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Knowledge of Australian standards (an advantage)
• Proficiency with estimation in Bluebeam or Tekla Structures
• Experience in tracking revisions and managing project adjustments
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Excellent communication skills
