A concise glimpse into the role

The Test Engineer role in our quality assurance team is crucial for delivering high-quality software. With 2-3 years of experience in manual and automation testing, the ideal candidate will utilize their knowledge of testing methodologies and tools to identify and resolve issues.

This role involves close collaboration with developers and product managers to create and execute comprehensive test plans, ensuring our product meets user requirements. The Test Engineer will work with advanced testing tools, contributing to process improvements and the overall product development lifecycle.

Your time will be invested in

Test Plan and Execution

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing.
• Identify, record, and document bugs thoroughly and track them through the resolution process.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved to ensure they do not reoccur.
  
  

Testing Processes and Collaboration

• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
• Liaise with internal teams, such as developers and product managers, to identify system requirements.
• Monitor debugging process results to ensure the effectiveness of solutions and the quality of the product.
  
  

Quality Metrics and Continuous Improvement

• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts, to measure product quality.
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies to continuously improve testing processes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the overall product development lifecycle through feedback and insights.
  
  

What We Want You To Have

• 2-3 years of experience in software testing.
• Proficiency in manual testing, including test case creation and execution.
• Experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP, TestNG).
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Solid understanding of different types of testing (functional, regression, integration, performance, etc.).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
  

What Is a Plus To Have

• Experience with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) for automation purposes.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo).
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
• Understanding of database/SQL for data validation.
