Sol's Arc is a registered non-profit organisation established in 2003 under the Charitable Trust Act of Mumbai. Sol's Arc works in the space of inclusive education and livelihood solutions to ensure every last child in the classroom learns, and every adult earns. Our pedagogy and tech-based tools enable systemic change to achieve better learning outcomes, which are scalable and deployed through partnerships with governments, NGOs, and multilateral and bilateral agencies.
We have impacted over 4 lakh children through our programs. Our interventions are currently running in 13 states through various critical partnerships with some of India's leading NGOs like Educate Girls, Teach for India, and Akanksha. We are also working directly with two state Governments, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, to scale our work and will work towards strengthening and replicating this system model across various states.
Role Description
This is a full-time role as a State Lead at Sol's ARC. The State Lead will oversee the implementation, strategy development, and analytical monitoring of all project field activities. Their responsibilities encompass offering strategic insights for program design, providing support during implementation, leveraging their operational expertise to craft and enhance execution strategies, managing project budgets, and meticulously documenting project-related information. Additionally, the State Lead will be responsible for government liaisoning and maintaining cardinal relationships with key stakeholders. This is an on-site role located in Chennai.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with government officials and other key stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the project and government entities.
- Advocate for project goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with government policies and priorities.
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Strong team management, team cohesion and team capacity building skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Master's degree in Education or a related field
- Experience working with children with special needs is a plus
- Minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in project management, preferably in a government or NGO setting. Experience in strategy development and budget management is essential.
