About the Role:
As our Startup Manager, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing, evaluating, and onboarding promising startups for our investment portfolio. You will be the primary point of contact for our founders, providing them with guidance, support, and access to valuable resources throughout their growth journey.
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and Deal Flow:
- Actively identify and source high-potential startups in Tier-II and III cities across India, leveraging your network and industry knowledge.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investments, analyzing market opportunity, team capabilities, financial projections, and social impact (if applicable).
- Develop compelling investment theses and present them to the investment committee.
- Startup Engagement & Portfolio Management:
- Build strong relationships with founders and serve as a trusted advisor, providing strategic guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Proactively manage existing portfolio companies, monitoring their progress and providing ongoing support for growth and achievement of key milestones.
- Facilitate connections between portfolio companies and potential partners, investors, and industry experts within BizDateUp's network.
- Market Research and Analysis:
- Stay informed about emerging trends and developments in the Indian startup ecosystem, particularly in Tier-II and III cities.
- Conduct market research and identify key industry verticals with high growth potential for future investments.
- Prepare insightful reports and presentations to keep the investment team updated on industry trends and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in startup ecosystem, venture capital, or a related field.
- Proven track record of identifying and evaluating high-growth startups.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for evaluating market potential and business models.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Passion for entrepreneurship and a strong network within the Indian startup ecosystem, particularly in Tier-II and III cities.
- Deep understanding of the Indian startup landscape and the challenges and opportunities faced by startups in Tier-II and III cities.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and Hindi (highly desirable).

Compensation - 4.5 LPA to 6 LPA
