Staff Software Engineer, Safety Controls, Google Ads

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
  
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a technical related field.
  
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  
• 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

• Co-own the charter for Insider Risk and help grow the team. You will own the objective key results and roadmap for your area.
• Develop deep technical knowledge of the system, contribute to the designs and delivery of the roadmap and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Collaborate with adjacent teams on joint charters (e.g., preventing fraud, generating business growth) as well as on infrastructure.
