Responsible for contributing as a Database advocate for a team doing Database development and optimizing with focus on Web, SaaS and mobile platform based products.
- Rich experience in working with Microsoft SQL Server, AWS RDS, AZURE SQL
- Own medium-sized quality engineering tasks, deliver while mentoring and helping team members.
- Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.
- Integrate project testing with continuous-integration process.
- Work with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions.
- Provide expertise in the quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software project and keeps abreast of evolving QA industry processes and standards.
- Develop and execute maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases.
- Master the basics of underlying Manufacturing domain.
Desired Characteristics & Technical Expertise
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
- A minimum of 8 to 12 years of Software Testing experience with Web or SaaS Platform based products, SQL Server databases.
- At least 8 years of experience in owning modules and mentoring teammates.

- Development of high quality and high performant database solutions
- Performance Tuning and Optimization of stored procedures and functions using T-SQL
- Experience with Schema Modelling and Data Modelling, CLR functions, BCP process, bulk import process
- Develop, implement, optimize, review and interpret ongoing business report requirements.
- Experience in Debug and Troubleshoot Complex Stored Procedures and functions.
- Experience in researching required data and build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements.
- Develop procedures and scripts for data migration Provide timely scheduled management reporting experience.
- Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience in Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) ,Partitioning (Vertical and Normalization), HA-DR (Clustering - Always On & Availability Groups)
- Experience in DBA Activities (Index Maintenance, DB files management, SQL agent Jobs troubleshooting)
- Source Control CI-CD process using SVN, GitHub etc
- Working knowledge on cloud technologies (AZURE, AWS)
- Experience testing hosted or SaaS-based solutions.
- Familiar with relational database design and good working knowledge of SQL for querying, updating, and deleting data.
- Strong proficiency with functional, regression, performance and stability testing techniques.
- Experience working in a cross-functional development team with the ability to influence quality of products in that environment.
- Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems.
- Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts.
