Impact & contribution:
The role will lead and implement Continuous Delivery practices, technologies and processes in DOT. The role will deliver improved velocity, quality and best practices in our software delivery. This role will shape the design and delivery of technical solutions encompassing automated application build, automated testing and application deployments.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead and maintain the NFT portfolio, including planning, scheduling workload, scripting, build and execute performance testing scripts as part of project delivery.
- Proving of non-functional requirements for performance, resilience, monitoring & operability.
- Proving of service changes in respect of Infrastructure (including Cloud), Software & Networks.
- Supporting Change Management in the Pre-Production Environment including scheduling and clash management of competing change.
- Design, develop frameworks, tools, and infrastructure to enable test automation, CI/CD, and code quality.
- Lead the team for Test Scoping, Test Estimations based on Scope & Risk, Test Planning, Test Specification, Automated Test Script Development and Test Execution & Results Analysis.
- Stakeholder Management and People Management, including conflict resolution and prioritization of work for the team. Communicate to senior management and key stakeholders to ensure clear path to project deliverables.
- Mentor and provide effective coaching to Engineers and establish mechanisms for peer-to-peer learning and mentoring.
- Promoting quality and delivering at pace through the maximization of automation is one of the key focus areas of the role.
- Ownership and take responsibility for the execution, engineering processes and quality standards of yours as well as your team members as you work in a collaborative environment.
- Empower team to manage their work appropriately, respond to queries, address impediments and problem solve technical issues. Understand unique skill sets of team members, providing personalised feedback and guidance.
Essential Skills:
- 10+ years of performance testing experience. Preferably with Functional Test Automation experience.
- Expertise in Performance Testing tools using JMeter/Blaze Meter.
- Expertise in Test Planning, Test Estimation, Test Strategy, Workload Design, Test Cases Design, Test Environment Setup, Test Data Setup, Scripting, Defect Management & Test Reporting.
- Execute Benchmark, load, stress, endurance, and other non-functional tests. Monitor application logs to determine system behavior. Address all technical issues; facilitate the resolution and necessarily follow up with Development and other cross-functional departments.
- Experience in AppDynamics, Splunk, AWS, Azure, and Jira.
- Analyze the CPU Utilization, Memory usage and Network usage, Garbage Collection and DB Parameters and DB Reports to verify the performance of the applications.
- Generate performance graphs, session reports and other related documentation required for validation and analysis.
- Publish results and receive appropriate signoff. Prepare detail status reports and monitoring of all defects and issues.
- Identifying memory leakage, connection issues & Bottleneck problem in the application.
- Lead a team of high performing individuals in delivering projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and very good time management skills.
Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
