Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of project managers, data engineers, software engineers, and analysts to design and build scalable, cost-effective infrastructure.
- Advocate for best DevOps practices across the team.
- Design and develop scalable, generic features for a first-in-class data platform.
- Enable fast iteration for your team by building, testing, and launching features that allow platform users to self-serve.
- Continuously improve processes and tooling in collaboration with engineers across the department.
- Coach and mentor team members through workshops, pair programming, and code reviews.
- Work with technologies such as Terraform, Docker, KVM, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Kubernetes.
Qualifications:
- At least 8 years of experience as a DevOps or Infrastructure Engineer.
- Hands-on experience working with Cloud Infrastructure, particularly AWS.
- Experience with AWS and at least one additional platform (GCP, Azure, or on-premises systems).
- Proficiency in leveraging automation for productivity.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Proven experience setting up and managing Kubernetes environments.
- Solid understanding of site-reliability principles and associated tooling.
- Basic knowledge of cloud security topics, including VPC Peering, Security Groups, and IAM roles.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
- Experience with Kubernetes workflow engines (e.g., Argo CD).
