We are seeking an experienced Senior Atlassian SME to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Atlassian tools to manage large scale instances, especially Jira and Confluence. This role requires a proactive individual who can drive best practices, optimize tool usage, and provide expert guidance and support to teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary expert for all Atlassian products, with good troubleshooting skills to fix production issues single headedly.
- Lead the configuration, customization, and administration of Atlassian tools to meet the needs of various teams and projects.
- Develop and implement best practices for using Atlassian products and provide technical guidance and support to users.
- Manage integrations between Atlassian tools and other applications, like Jenkins, Bitbucket, Github etc
- Perform regular system audits and upgrades to ensure the security, stability, and scalability of Atlassian applications.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides, best practices, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Stay current with new Atlassian product releases, features, and industry trends, and proactively recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
- bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 8yrs experience in administering and customizing Atlassian tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (eg, Groovy, Python) and experience with automation within Atlassian products.
- Expertise in AWS Datacenter hosting, cloud infrastructure and best practices.
- Knowledge on Atlassian SaaS migrations from on-prem to Cloud migration.
- Expertise in customizing plugins like Tempo, Structure, Script runner and Xray.
- Experience handling consolidation of multiple Atlassian instance into single deployment and handling conflicts with zero downtime & application availability impact.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support users at all levels of the organization.
- Certifications in Jira/Confluence administration (eg Atlassian Certified Administrator or equivalent) is a plus.
