Job Description:- Design and simulate innovative physical layer wireless communication algorithms.
- Implement E2E system models (float/fixed-point) and perform detailed performance investigations to allow performance sign-off and enable hardware and software development.
- Interpret and translate the 5G NR L1 specifications into feature descriptions/requirements to be implemented by the hardware and software teams.
- Collaborate with digital designers and firmware developers to realize algorithms with power and area efficient implementation
- Develop models in Matlab, C/C++ of the transmit & receive processing blocks defined by the specifications.
Qualifications wish list for a systems team technical role:- Experience in Digital Signal Processing, Wireless Communications and wireless chip development.
- Deep-knowledge of communication system theory and signal processing will be important for this role to design algorithms such as signal estimation and detection, channel estimation, equalization, forward-error correction, OFDM, MIMO detection, etc.
- Expertise in the 5G NR physical layer standards.
- Experience with floating-point algorithm development and link-level simulationmodeling the5G NR physical layer with Matlab, C/C++ and/or Python.
- Experience with fixed-point algorithm development and modeling withMatlab, C/C++ and/or Python.
- Experience/expertise in link-level simulations, and the study/development of L1 processing algorithms.
- Strong analytical skills (linear algebra, random processes, detection and estimation, etc.)
- At least a under-graduatedegree (graduate degrees preferred).
