About the role:
As an Staff Accountant, Works with CPA clients and SMB clients in day-to-day bookkeeping, with substantial guidance and support of a Manager with the intention to meet/exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Become proficient in the use of QBO, QBD, BDC, SAGE Intacct, Microsoft Office 365 Suite, and related software tools.
- Learn preparation of task spreadsheets, GL reconciliation work papers, and proper documentation. Track Open Items and exceptions, so that they can be easily reviewed and addressed.
- Learn and adopt client workflows, accounting practices, and preferences. Implement!
- Quickly scale the learning curve
- Highlight accounting errors or process gaps to the senior/Manager. Be proactive and forward thinking.
- Ability to complete beginner and low complexity bookkeeping and analytical tasks with few technical corrections from the reviewer.
- Participating in a range of projects and open to collaborating and working with multiple teams demonstrating critical thinking, problem solving, initiative and timely completion of work.
Need to Have:
- Bachelor's in Commerce or related field.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in US Accounting
- Strong academic track record, minimum 60% or above
- Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
- Understanding of industry specific accounting regulations and compliance requirements.
