Job Summary:
As the Group Head of UI/UX, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of
UI/UX designers across various projects and products within our organisation. Your
primary focus will be to ensure that our digital interfaces and user experiences align
with business objectives, meet high-quality standards, and exceed user expectations.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers,
developers, marketers, and stakeholders, to drive innovation and deliver exceptional
user-centered designs.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of UX/UX designers, providing guidance,
feedback, and professional development opportunities.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages
creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Define team goals, priorities, and resource allocation to ensure successful
project outcomes.
Strategic Planning and Vision:
Develop and communicate a clear vision for UI/UX design that aligns with
the organisation's overall objectives and values.
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best
practices in UI/UX design, and incorporate relevant insights into strategic
planning.
Project Management and Collaboration:
Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to
understand project requirements, user needs, and business goals.
Plan and oversee the UI/UX design process from concept to execution,
ensuring timely delivery of high-quality designs.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication to drive
consensus and alignment on design decisions.
User Research and Analysis:
Conduct user research activities, such as user interviews, surveys, and
usability testing, to gain insights into user behaviour, preferences, and pain
points.
Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions and
iterate on designs based on user feedback.
UI/UX Design Execution:
Create user-centered designs, including wireframes, prototypes, and
high-fidelity mockups, that effectively communicate interaction and design
concepts.
Ensure consistency and coherence across all digital touchpoints, including
web, mobile, and other digital platforms.
Champion accessibility and usability best practices to ensure an inclusive
and intuitive user experience for all users.
Quality Assurance and Optimization:
Conduct thorough reviews of UI/UX designs to ensure adherence to
design guidelines, brand standards, and usability principles.
Collaborate with development teams to address technical constraints and
optimize designs for implementation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in UI/UX design, human-computer interaction,
graphic design, or a related field.
Proven experience of 3-4 years in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio
showcasing your design expertise and successful project outcomes.
Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or
similar tools.
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and
information architecture.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple
projects simultaneously.
Passion for innovation, creativity, and continuous learning in the field of UI/UX
design.
