Job Description

  • Workshop Planning: The ability to design and structure the workshop effectively, including setting objectives, creating agendas, and selecting appropriate activities or exercises.
  • Time Management: Keep workshops on track, ensuring discussions stay focussed, and that all key topics are covered within the allocated time.
  • Group Dynamics Management: Managing different personalities in the room, ensuring active participation from everyone, and resolving conflicts or dominant voices in discussions.
  • Guiding Conversations: Leading discussions in a way that helps participants focus on business goals, challenges, and user needs without going off-topic or into irrelevant details.
  • Understanding Business Needs: Listening attentively to identify the underlying business problems, goals, and constraints customers face.
  • Empathy: Demonstrating an ability to understand the customer's perspective, challenges, and concerns, and responding thoughtfully.
  • Clarifying Questions: Asking insightful, clarifying questions to dig deeper into customer feedback and gain a fuller understanding of their business.
  • Clear Explanation: Being able to explain design concepts, processes, and technical ideas in simple, non-jargon language that aligns with the business's understanding.
  • Verbal and Visual Communication: Using both verbal explanations and visual aids (e.g., diagrams, sketches, or prototypes) to convey ideas effectively.
  • Presenting Ideas: Confidently presenting information, summarising key points, and ensuring that clients understand the value of design thinking in solving their business challenges.
  • Understanding Business Goals: The ability to comprehend the customer's industry, market position, competition, and long-term goals to tailor the design solutions accordingly.
  • Synthesising Information: The ability to take large amounts of input from different stakeholders and distill it into clear insights, key problems, and actionable objectives.
  • Building Trust: Establishing a rapport with clients and making them feel comfortable sharing information about their business, challenges, and goals.
  • Managing Tensions: Skilfully navigating tense or difficult conversations and maintaining a constructive, solution-oriented atmosphere throughout the workshop.
  • Showcase: Showcase your work internally to the design team and other stakeholders.
  • Team & Mentorship: Should be a team player and help/guide others when needed.

Requirements

  • Visual design: Exceptional user interface design skills with a deep understanding of color theory & layouts and how they influence decision making.
  • Motion Design: Good understanding of motion design and hands on experience with Lottie animations.
  • Graphics design: Should know where to use what graphics and also use AI tools to when needed.
