The Alexa Connect Kit team is a team within Alexa Smart Home. We offer managed services (cloud services, firmware, devices) to simplify IoT development and enabling device makers to build smart home appliances. We work across verticals that Alexa Smart Home supports, partnering with manufacturers to bring to market everything Christmas trees, coffee makers to light switches and air purifiers. We work with manufacturers to realize their product vision at what they do best, whilst we bring best in class Alexa and Smart Home features into their products in an easy to integrate manner.
The right candidate will possess a strong program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading large projects, and will have a well-rounded technical background in embedded and cloud technologies. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. As a Sr. Technical Program Manager, you will ensure the teams are delivering the highest quality products and services predictably while meeting the technical needs of our community. You will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. You are required to communicate effectively with leaders across Director and VP level on a regular basis An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
