Actively contact suppliers to request information about tool condition
Input the information to the Resideo Tooling DataBase in an organized and accurate way.
Work with the Database Development Team to improve the Tableau Database Viewer
Must be able to assess tool condition based on experience. Suggest methods to repair and estimate necessary time to perform repairs and refurbishment. Coordinate with the suppliers until task is completed.
Interact with cross functional teams to achieve tooling milestones such as, scheduled tool refurbishings, and urgent tool repairs. Capable of being proactive, but also proficiently reactive when needed.
Continue to expand knowledge to maintain expertise and be an expert for Sourcing, Engineering, and Marketing teams for assigned commodities.
Liaison with Commodity Managers, Program Managers, Quality Engineers, Design Engineers - worldwide to identify potential issues based on available Tooling Data.
Must continue looking for personal growth and continue working to increase personal technical expertise
Support department activities such as participate in projects to extend technical capabilities of the Tooling Engineering Group (Develop new capabilities such as Power BI, Power Automate, Sharepoint List, Sharepoint Sites)
Create or coordinate the creation of a self updating tool for external suppliers to access and updated tooling information.
Actively support Tool Management activities (Request for Information with suppliers and Tooling Database maintenance and re-development).
YOU MUST HAVE:
BS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Understanding of PPAP process and associated tools (DFM/DFx, PPAP, FMEA s, Control Plan, MSA and Capability Studies).
Minimum 1 year of experience on tooling in a Plastic Injection, Stamping, Rubber, Manufacturing Environment. Metal Stamping or Die Casting manufacturing environment experience is desirable
Minimum 1 years of experience as Tooling Engineeris a plus
Experienced with use of problem-solving tools.
Experience with mechanical parts and commodities. Familiar with processes and equipment necessary to manufacture parts, including metal stampings, machined parts and powdered metal parts.
Green Belt certification is a plus.
Demonstrated capability in identifying best practices and implementing them.
Must be willing to work in results based, fast paced environment, with minimal supervision.
Will interface regularly with all levels of design personnel within Resideo, Corporate and suppliers globally.
Excellent communications skills required. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
Good presentation skills.
Active National Passport and ability to travel internationally to USA, Mexico, Europe, China, Etc
