The Digital and Technology team at General Mills stands as the largest and foremost unit, dedicated to exploring the latest trends and innovations in technology while leading the adoption of cutting-edge technologies across the organization. Purpose of the role

We have exciting opportunities for Middleware Engineers to work with General Mill's various Advanced Digital Transformation teams and partner to achieve required business outcomes by transforming, simplifying, integrating and managing our services in cloud.

We are looking for someone with relevant experience in Confluent Kafka, Apigee and composer Skills. Having prior experience in platform engineering and automation using Ansible, Terraform, GitHub Actions is good to have or willing to learn new technologies and framework. Primary responsibilities include operational excellence, consultation, optimization and implementation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Partnership with the National Retail Organization (NRO) & Pet Sales global product teams to understand business requirements, evaluate considerations (security, scalability, limits), and deliver solutions through executing design, configuration, customization (including test classes, code reviews, defect resolution), integration, testing, deployments, & documentation.
  • Participate in Salesforce org support model (includes incident management, daily org logging/monitoring & root cause analysis)
  • Partners with Analyst & Data Engineers for daily data/integration job monitoring within the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Ensure platform principles & governance best practices are being following
  • Steward for org for Salesforce org security compliance, including proper encryption, access controls and vulnerability management are implemented
  • Active participant in product team agile ceremonies to assist in planning for new features & execution of product team backlog & project needs
  • Collaborate with product team to identify & utilize meaningful new features of Core CRM platform
  • Support Salesforce Core CRM pilot opportunities
  • Partner with Analysts on Salesforce seasonal upgrade release review and testing
  • Collaborate with different enterprise teams as a part of the product team (Application Developers, Analysts, Solution Managers, Project Managers, Data Engineers, Cloud and Infra Engineering, etc)
  • Challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions
  • Identify gaps in processes, opportunities for improvements and automation
  • Consult, advise and provide subject matter expertise as required
  • Stay up to date on Salesforce Core CRM product strategies, roadmap, architecture, and best practices with Technical Architects
  • Support Core CRM Cloud org assessments for platform opportunity identification
  • Create & help maintain documentation & refresh of best practices, principles, processes, and standards for Salesforce Core CRM products
  • Execute design, configuration, customization (including test classes, code reviews, defect resolution), integration, testing, deployments, documentation, & support needs for central Salesforce CRM practice Core Cloud modernization, optimization, & simplification initiatives
  • Participate in central practice team operations & ways of working
  • Continue to build on communication/soft skills
  • Learning and enhancing new skills
  • Assist with project planning and risk management as needed
  • Partner with Salesforce CRM peers & community to knowledge share and problem solve

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 7+ years work experience in Salesforce Core Clouds (i.e. Sales Cloud, Service Cloud), including configuration (i.e. process builders/flow, permission sets, profiles, declarative functionality, etc.) & customization experience (i.e. Apex (classes and triggers), Lightning Web Components, Aura Components, Flow, Visualforce, etc.)
  • Strong hands on in Sales and Service Cloud having minimum 4 years of end-to-end development and delivery experience
  • Prior successful experience with Salesforce integration framework and Salesforce API & custom integrations with Salesforce Core CRM products & other solutions (Cloud platforms, 3rd party app exchange products, etc.)
  • Must have prior DevOps / CICD process & tooling experience (i.e. Copado, Gearset, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience of strong communication skills (oral & written) across multiple levels within an organizati on
  • Demonstrated ability to span geographic and time zone constraints to collaborate on solutions
  • Demonstrated drive to successfully deliver project/product outcomes within project constraints and guidelines. Proven ability and experience in successfully managing multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Adept at working in cross-functional team environments and managing dependencies tied to technical product roadmaps. History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done.
  • Self-starter & effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize across multiple deliverables & strategic initiatives with minimal oversight
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, inclusive of risk identification & mitigation planning
  • Ability to research, plan, organize, and implement new processes or technology
  • Experience working in a team using agile development methodologies
  • Proven ability and experience in building relationships & influencing others

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate with prior hands-on experience in Consumer Goods Cloud will be preferred
  • Salesforce configuration (process builders/flow, permission sets, profiles, declarative functionality) & customization (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, Visualforce, Aura Components, etc.)
  • DevOps/CICD deployment experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Effective abilities to solution (problem statements, options/alternatives, pros/cons)
  • Working in global teams
  • Independently productive & collaborates within team
  • Candidate with prior hands-on experience in Consumer Goods Cloud will be preferred

  • Salesforce certifications (Admin, Developer)
  • Prior successful experience as a Salesforce Admin or Analyst
  • Experience with consuming and interacting with MuleSoft integrations
  • Experience with Cyber Security
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and solutions, such as Google Cloud Platform
  • Database experience, including knowledge of SQL, and relational database concepts and models
  • Technologies - Google Cloud Platform, GitHub Actions, Kafka, Hashicorp Vault, APIGEE, Tableau, Mobile App Development
  • Understanding of Consumer Product Goods (CPG) industry, and experiencing of working in the CPG industry (especially Commercial functions)
  • Experience with modern Software Engineering principles
  • Experience with project & team management tools and software (Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams)
