nSummary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Engineer specializing in Active Directory to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing Active Directory environments. This role will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the Active Directory infrastructure that supports core organizational functions and other tools as required. This position requires a proactive problem solver with strong technical expertise and a commitment to maintaining up-to-date best practices in AD management.
nKey Responsibilities:
nDesign, Implement, and Manage Active Directory:
nDesign, deploy, and manage Active Directory (AD) infrastructure, including AD forests, domains, Organizational Units (OUs), Group Policies, trusts, and other tools as required.
nMaintain and support AD-related services, such as DNS, DHCP, and LDAP.
nImplement Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for security, software deployment, and other configurations.
nDevelop and maintain AD forests, domains, organizational units (OUs), and trust relationships.
nPlan and implement AD schema extensions, upgrades, and migrations.
nSecurity and Compliance:
nImplement and manage AD security policies and access controls.
nEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
nConduct regular audits of AD objects, permissions, and policies to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
nMonitor AD for security breaches and respond to incidents.
nAutomation and Optimization:
nDevelop and maintain scripts for automation of common AD tasks using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
nOptimize AD performance and efficiency through regular tuning and updates.
nMaintenance and Support:
nPerform regular maintenance tasks, such as backup and recovery, patch management, and performance tuning.
nProvide Level 2 and Level 3 support for AD-related issues and other tools as required.
nTroubleshoot and resolve AD replication, authentication, and authorization issues.
nCollaboration and Documentation:
nWork closely with other IT teams to integrate AD with various applications and systems.
nCreate and maintain comprehensive documentation of the AD environment, including architecture, configurations, and procedures.
nDocument AD configurations, processes, and procedures.
nProvide training and guidance to IT staff and end-users on AD-related topics.
nProject Management:
nLead or participate in AD-related projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
nDevelop and maintain project plans, schedules, and documentation.
nCoordinate with vendors and third-party service providers as needed.
nQualifications:
nEducation:
nBachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
nExperience:
n5+ years of experience in managing and supporting Active Directory environments.
nExperience with AD-related tools and technologies, such as Group Policy Management Console (GPMC), DNS, DHCP, ADUC, PowerShell, and Azure AD.
nExperience with AD integration with cloud services (e.g., Azure AD) is a plus.
nStrong knowledge of AD architecture, design, and implementation.
nProficiency in AD security best practices and compliance requirements.
nExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
