Job Description: Senior Solution Architect - Open RAN (ORAN)
Position Overview:We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Solution Architect specializing in Open RAN (ORAN) to drive the design and implementation of innovative telecom solutions around SMO and RIC. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in ORAN architecture, particularly RIC, strong problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architectural Design:Lead the design and implementation of ORAN solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
- Technical Leadership:Provide expert guidance on ORAN technologies, standards, and best practices to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Solution Development:Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to develop comprehensive solutions that meet customer needs.
- Proof of Concept:Lead the creation of proofs of concept (PoCs) and demos to validate architectural decisions and technologies.
- Stakeholder Engagement:Work closely with customers, vendors, and partners to gather requirements, present solutions, and ensure successful project delivery.
- Documentation:Create and maintain detailed architectural documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and design patterns.
- Innovation:Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in the telecom sector to inform strategic decisions and enhance solution offerings.
- Training & Mentoring:Provide mentorship and training to junior architects and engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development.
Qualifications:
- Education:Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Experience:8+ years of experience in telecom solution architecture, with a focus on Open RAN technologies (SMO / RIC) and architectures. Understanding of overall end to end call flows involving 4G / 5G Core and RAN elements is also required.
- Technical Expertise:Strong understanding of ORAN concepts, including disaggregated network functions, virtualization, and cloud-native architecture. Experience of working with open source OSC / OAI etc is a plus.
- Certifications:Relevant certifications in telecom technologies or architecture (e.g., TOGAF, TM Forum) are a plus.
