Summary of Position:
As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be part of Digital Health Foundational Services Engineering team to design, develop & deliver software for Digital Health products. We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in full-stack development and AWS cloud services to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end technologies, as well as experience working in the healthcare industry. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement robust and scalable healthcare applications that comply with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Design, implement, and deploy full-stack web applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
- Front-End Development: Develop intuitive, user-friendly interfaces using modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular), with a strong focus on responsive design and accessibility.
- Back-End Development: Develop and maintain server-side logic, database architectures, and APIs using technologies such as Node.js, Java Spring boot, Python, ensuring seamless integration with front-end components.
- AWS Cloud Integration: Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and DynamoDB. Optimize the use of AWS resources to ensure high availability and performance.
- DevOps Practices: Utilize AWS/Azure DevOps tools to automate deployment, monitor application health, and implementation of micro services / containers, authorization & authentication modules via API gateway.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineering teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Testing and Debugging: Implement comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, to ensure software reliability and performance. Identify and resolve bugs and performance issues in a timely manner.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies, particularly those related to AWS and cloud computing, and proactively suggest improvements to processes, tools, and software architecture.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for all developed software, including system architecture, API documentation, and user guides.
Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development, with a focus on healthcare-related Digital applications preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in front-end frameworks such as React, Angular.
- Strong experience with back-end technologies like Node.js, Python, Java.
- Expertise in database management systems such as PostgreSQL.
- Advanced knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
- Experience with DevOps tools, micro services / containers.
- Familiarity with healthcare standards and regulations, including HL7, FHIR, and HIPAA compliance.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
- Leadership experience with mentoring and guiding junior engineers is a plus.
