- Own and drive numerous aspects of the product/solution as a member of a product owner team.
- Participate in reviews of business requirements and understand customer use cases & challenges.
- Map business requirements to technical features.
- Research and understand our market, industry and competition.
- Assist with integrations, technology research and architecture design.
- Collaborate and work with cross-functional engineering team members to turn requirements into functional specifications and wireframes.
- Take ownership for user stories and functional specifications.
- Contribute to hands-on engineering tasks and projects to deliver the product.
- Participate in reviews of feature designs, quality plans, documentation and presentations.
- Create content for and deliver knowledge transfer on new product features and enhancements.
- Preparation and participation in PI planning - Work with Product Management and other stakeholders to understand and clarify candidate features; collaborate with Technical Leads and other Product Owners on cross-team features to develop business use cases and assist in developing Level 0 estimates.
- Support team by providing context around functional and non-functional requirements, dependencies and minimum viable product, resolving ambiguities and clarifying relative priorities.
- Participation in sprint work - Produce stories and define acceptance criteria; refine backlog and adjust backlog priorities as necessary; guide team through Q&A and clarification; assist with exploratory testing or other verification as needed; formally accept stories with support from the team and story demos. - Maintain team defect backlog; work with client services and other external groups to prioritize backlog effectively.
Desired Skills:
5+ years as a product owner leading software project from inception to delivery.
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and an ability to articulate technical vision while understanding business requirements.
Bachelor s or Master s degree in engineering related discipline.
Outstanding communication, presentation, leadership, and project management skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of Agile/Scrum.
Hands-on experience with Atlassian products like Confluence, Jira and team collaboration tools is preferred.
